The Development Guarantee Group (DGG) was founded to address one of the most pressing challenges in sustainable development: the persistent gap between available capital and projects that need investment in emerging and developing economies.
From its inception, DGG has leveraged world-class expertise to design and implement guarantees that strengthen market confidence, mitigate risk and mobilise private capital into sustainable infrastructure, climate mitigation and resilient economic development. Working in partnership with public and private sector institutions, DGG supports new guarantors and programmes that maximise impact.
Guided by the belief that capital should flow to where it can do the greatest good, DGG’s approach blends innovation, deep sector experience and practical deployment. This mission has led to initiatives such as the Green Guarantee Company, which aims to catalyse significant climate finance into emerging markets by de-risking investment opportunities that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
